Low Cost UAV-based Remote Sensing for Autonomous Wildlife Monitoring
In recent years, developments in unmanned aerial vehicles, lightweight on-board computers, and low-cost thermal imaging sensors offer a new opportunity for wildlife monitoring. In contrast with traditional methods now surveying endangered species to obtain population and location has become more cost-effective and least time-consuming. In this paper, a low-cost UAV-based remote sensing platform...
متن کاملLow Temperature Sensing Properties of a Nano Hybrid Material Based on ZnO Nanotetrapods and Titanyl Phthalocyanine
ZnO nanotetrapods have recently been exploited for the realization of high-sensitivity gas sensors, but they are affected by the typical drawbacks of metal-oxides, i.e., poor selectivity and a relatively high working temperature. On the other hand, it has been also demonstrated that the combined use of nanostructured metal oxides and organic molecules can improve the gas sensing performance sen...
متن کاملLow NOx Combustion Technology for Minimizing NOx
A noble low NOx combustion technology, based on partial oxidation combustion concept in a fuel rich combustion zone, is successfully applied in this research. The burner is designed such that a portion of fuel is heated and pre-vaporized in the furnace then injected into a fuel rich combustion zone so that a partial oxidation reaction occurs. The effects of equivalence ratio, thermal load, and ...
متن کاملPLANAR, IMPEDANCE- METRIC NOx SENSOR WITH SPINEL- TYPE SE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS
This study displays the results obtained with a planar, impedancemetric sensor having a NiCr2O4SE and a specially manufactured FSZ electrolyte. The sensing characteristics to NO and to O2/NO-gas mixtures were analyzed at temperatures up to 700 °C. The cross-selectivity to other flue-gases was tested. As a new capable type of sensing parameter the total impedance was applied.
متن کاملThermally Actuated Low Impedance MEMS Resonators for Mass Sensing Applications
This paper presents high-Q thermally actuated micromechanical resonators suitable for sensory applications under atmospheric pressure. Single crystal silicon resonators with resonance frequencies in the 250 KHz to 1.5MHz range were fabricated using a single-mask fabrication process on SOI substrates. The resonators were operated in a one-port configuration in their in-plane resonance mode with ...
